The Python Squeeze, Ride #3 of the PineolaPython181.com motorcycle ride is a similar but alternate route. The main motorcycle ride of the Pineola Python 181 runs from Pineola North Carolina to Morganton North Carolina. This motorcycle ride offers  miles of twists and turns, passing lanes going north or south on the highway, the Brown Mountain Lights Overlook, several off road pull offs, waterfall hikes, back country campgrounds sites, gas stations, restaurants, RV campgrounds, live music, and an elevation change of over 2000 feet and beautiful mountain landscapes and views no matter what season.

The PineolaPython181.com motorcycle ride starts and ends at, “The Mountain Boomer” right across from the Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 312. The Mountain Boomer serves slow cooked pulled port, smoked salmon, beer, serving bar, live music, clean bathrooms and plenty of seating inside and out. Plenty of parking so your group can gather before and after the ride.

Python Squeeze Notes:
After the many turns of 181 you will cruise down the hill and see the start of Morganton North Carolina. Passing a few favorite eating stops for Italian Food and Pizza, The Pie Hole Pizza and Subs on your right in the same plaza as Tractor Supply, and then Greenway Pizza just after the post office on the left. Cruising through town there are a few great stops such as Greene Street Grill, Abele’s Family Restaurant Best Breakfast Buffet,Toner’s Irish Pub, and the Town Tavern of Mroganton. You will make a loop around town and back to the stop light at the bridge where you turn Left onto 64 Bypass. Then a Right on Route 70 into the heart of downtown Marion North Carolina. Then take a Right on Business 221 where you pass many restaurants and a fvorite the Copper Creek Distillery, a must stop! Continuing up the mountain on 221 you pass North Cove until you reach Linville Falls intersection. Just after you pass the Linville Winery you make a Left at the gas station onto 194. whic cuts across to 19E which runs North and parallel to the North Toe River. This road is a fun and challenging road for motorcycle riders. you will pass a few campgrounds, and agreat place to stay North Toe River Cabin Rentals on the right side, righ ton the river! If you need gas or a quick bite to eat, an ice cream or a cold drink stop in the Spears Country Store, or sit outside in one of the rocking chairs while collingoff in the fresh moutnain air. The Road 19E is also part of the motorcycle ride www.RoanMountainRun261.com if you continue into Roan Mountain Tennessee. A good place for a bathroom break and great food is the Elk River Depot on the corner before you make a right on 194 towards Banner Elk also called the River Road. This will take you into downtown Banner Elk a buslting mountain town with things to do and many local vibes and restaurants. If you need to fill up or a repair stop at Banner Elk Exxon on the corner.  Take a Right on to 184 at the traffic light going towards Sugar Mountain. One of my all time favorites no matter what time of day, breakfast, lunch or dinner, with a small group or large group is the Banner Elk Cafe and Tavern. Continuing around some more curves you will come to a great place to stay in the High Coutry for many riders, the Best Western Mountain Lodge (Use The Coupon Code RIDE for a discount).  If you need a pick me up stop at Fred and Larrys Coffee on the left or grab a drink at Highlander’s Bar and Grill. Take a Right on 105 at the four-way intersection towards Linville. Take a Right at the Linville traffic light. Want the Best Burger Ever, stop in at Smokey’s Filling Station and fill up at the Citgo. Across the street is the Pixie Motor Inn great place to stay a night or weekend. Then at the next light take a Left you are on 181/221 South. This will take you back to The Mountain Boomer Restaurant where you started.
